Kyoko is the founder of SLOW IKEBANA, a practice that expands far beyond floral arrangement. It offers a powerful, intentional framework for modern living, supporting personal growth, mindfulness, and leadership through the quiet yet transformative act of arranging flowers.
Her workshops offer a space to slow down, reflect, and realign with the natural rhythms of life. Rooted in Japanese aesthetics and philosophy, SLOW IKEBANA is both an art and a life practice: a way to cultivate inner peace, foster creativity, and build resilience in a fast-moving world.
Born in Kobe, Japan, she studied Ikebana under the Mishoshin-ryu school, known for over two centuries of floral philosophy. In 2024, she was honored with her license and artist name Kagetsuan (佳月庵), meaning “beautiful moon,” a name that reflects not only her mastery, but her deep connection to the lineage of her teacher and the philosophy of her school.
Now based in Long Beach, California, Kyoko brings Ikebana into homes, studios, corporate spaces, and cultural institutions, inviting others to find beauty not just in flowers, but in the pauses between them.
